        Somatics for ease and peace, in body, mind and spirit



        Recorded Class with Jane Stirzaker

        Thomas Hannah inspired somatic movement education, teaches us where we may be holding chronic tension in our body. This may arise from the stresses in our lives and also from our habitual movement patterns brought on through work or play. We may not know where and if we are holding it and these practices are about discovering more about ourselves, learning to release tension and then a delicious stage rather like rebooting a computer! We can relearn the grace, fluidity and ease that was there for many of us in our childhood. Not only that, we can learn also to protect our joints and, by shedding tension, find that we have more energy. The practices stimulate our parasympathetic nervous system, cultivating calm and peace within.

        You will need: Yoga mat, Blanket, Pillow or bolster (that will support the width, from the side of your neck to the top of your shoulder, for lying on your side),Loose layers for both comfort and warmth.
