The HOPE Foundation is honoured to be featured in OM Yoga Magazine, highlighting the incredible impact of Yoga for HOPE – a movement uniting yoga teachers and practitioners from around the world to support street-connected children in Kolkata.
In June, in celebration of International Yoga Day, 22 inspiring yoga teachers came together to lead in-person, online, and on-demand classes, raising over £3,500 through more than 200 class bookings. Their collective effort not only raised vital funds but also amplified awareness of HOPE’s mission to transform the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Why Yoga Matters to HOPE’s Work
For many of the children in HOPE’s care, yoga is part of daily life, supporting physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. It helps them build confidence, resilience, and inner calm in environments that have often lacked safety and stability.
Since 1999, the HOPE Foundation has reached over 3.3 million people in Kolkata, restoring dignity, human rights, and opportunities to the city’s most vulnerable children and families.
Join Yoga for HOPE
We warmly invite more yoga teachers, studios, and practitioners to unite with us. By hosting a class, sharing your practice, or promoting our mission, you can help transform a child’s life in Kolkata.
