HOPE UK has been informed by our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) provider, Beacon, of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to its systems.
Based on the latest information which we have received from Beacon on 4th August, personal data held within HOPE UK’s Beacon CRM may have been accessed. The information which we hold in our CRM, includes supporter and supplier contact details, donation history and correspondence records. HOPE UK does not store payment card, or bank details in Beacon.
HOPE UK is working closely with Beacon to understand the full impact of this incident and we are conducting our own assessment of our obligations under UK data protection law – including reporting to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) where appropriate.
